Iris Halden runs a nine-person workshop and refuses to grow past twelve.
The Fjord boot exists because Copenhagen winters are wet rather than cold, and a shearling lining that cannot dry overnight is worse than no lining at all.
Halden buys hides from two tanneries and rejects roughly a fifth of them. The rejected leather goes into sample pairs that never reach the storefront.
The workshop closes for the whole of July. Orders placed in June ship in August, and the listing says so before you pay.
